8/31/2023 0 Comments Cooller quake live config![]() ![]() I'm OCD when it comes to settings, I have yet to see someone that spent as much time as me testing things out. It was awesome to see 100% of the player spamming plasma balls almost as if he wasn't shooting anything, but it also made it harder to dodge rockets since they blended with the maps too much. There's also a way to make the rocket and plasmas almost completely see-through but it requires to mess around with the intensity slider in the bloom menu (doesn't actually require you to use bloom if you set the sliders correctly). The difference between 1 and 1.2 intensity is quite big, and it boggles my mind everytime I see people with > 1.2 intensity. When I test my configs, I fire rockets in front of a Grenade Launcher (make sure you have simpleitems set to 1) because it's green, kinda like bright skins. An easy way to test this is to increase/decrease intensity while firing rockets in front of a weapon on the ground. Something else that people don't seem to have picked on is that increasing r_intensity makes the rocket explosions, plasma, lg beams etc. The last time the settings of burnedd were on. The burnedd quake live settings page has been viewed for 1.023 since it was added on. I like to have ignorehwgamma 1 because you can make stuff brighter without getting a flushed out look, around 1.5-1.6 gamma is my sweet spot. This page contains the in-game settings, config files (cfg) and hardware setup of burnedd. Set your gamma to 2 and try it with and without ignore hw gamma, you'll see the difference immediately. No, it makes it so when you change gamma, only in-game elements increase in brightness. ![]() I chose to decrease the contrast because I hate the brightskins. That means changing gamma in-game doesn’t have the same effect. Don’t tweak that in-game, remember you have r_ignorehwgamma 1. Lastly, I decreased the contrast and increased the gamma in POWER STRIPE. This is also why you need an intensity of 1: increasing the intensity makes it hard to see through rocket explosions. Higher gamma will start to make it harder to see shit through rocket spam. You'll have to tweak it according to your monitor and preferences. ![]() Unfortunately I'm at work so I can't take a screenshot. If you use shadows, it also makes the shadows dark on EVERY texture. I prefer to remain anonymous because these settings would bring me a LOT of spam from the massive ammount of people thanking me otherwise.īasically this makes all the walls and floors appear in a very similar, bright-but-not-too-bright tone. ![]()
